Nationwide coverage for Domestic EPCs

We can mobilise our qualified domestic energy assesors to undertake Energy Performance Certificates on residential properties across the UK.

In reponse to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPDB); all domestic properties for sale or to let require a domestic Energy Performance Certificate or EPC. The EPC is designed to help reduce our domestic energy consumption by promoting geater awareness of the energy efficiency of our properties

Our homes currently account for 27% of the UK's carbon dioxide emissions. The Energy Saving Trust estimates that following the proposals in an EPC to improve your rating could save you £300 per year on fuel bills alone.

Almost every building being sold now requires an EPC as part of the Home Information Pack. For properties being sold, the EPC is valid for 3 years. For properties being rented or leased, the EPC is valid for 10 years. However, it would be in the property owner's interest to have their certificate updated if they completed any works likely to improve their rating (such as adding extra insulation, or fitting double glazing).

From 1st October 2008, new legislation requires all rental properties to have a valid EPC available for a prospective tenant to view, prior to the property coming onto the market. EPCs do not have to be paid for by tenants and as with sold properties, are valid for 10 years
